The last scene from Avengers: Infinity War left us all hanging. Thanos actually managed to wipe 50% of the Universe including one of our beloved heroes (Spiderman, Black Panther, Bucky, Scarlet Witch etc.) who were sadly purged. Which leaves us the original heroes and how they are going to manage this in the upcoming movie Avengers: Endgame.

It’s the only way

Doctor Strange clearly stated that when it comes to saving the Time Stone, him or Spiderman, he will not hesitate to let them both die. But that’s not what happened during their big fight with Thanos. He saved Tony Stark and gave it to Thanos. Strange knew what he was doing and Tony Stark is one of the most important key in winning the war against Thanos. He told Stark “It’s the only way” before vanishing. Also take note, he had calculated 14million possible futures and he said they only won once.

Time Travel through the Quantum Realm

The film Ant Man & the Wasp depicted that it is actually possible to travel through the Quantum Realm.  It is a Microverse and it is inhabited by many worlds and civilizations.

Ant-Man along with some of the Avengers left will somehow find a way travelling back in time through Quantum Realm which is only accessible by magic or sub-atomic shrinking. There is even a spreading theory that suggests they will go to the past events of all Marvel films where the infinity stones are involved to collect them to challenge Thanos.

Avengers Endgame

Pictures of Ant Man in the Battle of New York are circulating in the internet which led to speculating about time travelling being involved in the next Avenger film.

Hawkeye coming back

Avengers Endgame
We can see in the new trailer that Hawkeye aka Clint Barton made a come back. Although he is not the Hawkeye we know anymore. In the comics, he became Ronin, his darker alter ego. We can only assume that he lost some or perhaps his entire family after the snap.  He’s out there taking lives of criminals as a way to cope.

Back up and restoring Vision

There are theories suggesting that Princess Shuri actually managed to back up Vision somehow. Maybe we can see the avengers rebuilding Vision 2.0

Captain Marvel saving the day

Avengers Endgame

The post credit scene showed Nick Fury along with Maria Hill moments after the snap. Before Fury realized that he too is going to disappear, he was able to send a distress signal. The pager depicted an 8 pointed star symbol that represents none other than Captain Marvel. Her standalone film will tell us her backstory of how a a US Air Force pilot became a badass, photon blasting Kree.

She will surely make an appearance somewhere in the film. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Captain Marvel will be the strongest Avenger (Sorry Thor!).

Trapped in Soul World

All of the beings who were sadly wiped out of existence during the snap isn’t actually dead. But they are trapped somewhere in the soul world, another dimension that exists inside the soul stone.  After the snap, Thanos’ consciousness traveled to the soul world where he sees a young Gamora. She asked if he did it to which Thanos sadly replied that he did and it cost everything he had.

Who will wield the Infinity Gauntlet?

Although the gauntlet that Thanos used was destroyed after the snap. It is possible that a new gauntlet will be formed. Probably by Eitri, the giant dwarf from Nidavellir and the only one spared by Thanos when he demanded the gauntlet. He’s still pretty much alive.

In the Infinity Gauntlet comic, it was Nebula who took it from Thanos and took her revenge. Of course this is a different story where Thanos is madly inlove with Mistress Death and wiped 50% of the Universe to impress her. Tony Stark is also one of the possible wielder of the new gauntlet. Strange did not spare Tony’s life for nothing. We all know he is essential to winning in the endgame. Captain Marvel is also a possibility. Since only the strongest beings can wield it, Captain Marvel being the strongest avenger is an obvious candidate for this.
